Prague Castle

The Prague Castle is the most important Czech monument that reflects the culture of Czech Republic. It is believed to be constructed by Prince Bořivoj in 880 and is the largest castle in the world covering an area of 70,000 sq m. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and has a large collection of palaces and buildings of different architectural patterns and Roman style buildings from 10th century. The wide ranging renovation was carried out by architect Josip Plecnik during 1918-1938.The castle has undergone further repairs, reconstruction and beautification since then.
